How is all this going to go?
On one side of the fence we have currently an authoritarian government that governs by the diktat and edict of a handful of ministers and their “scientific” advisers.
Said edicts, illegal orders and “you musts” are “justified” by a stream of lies and false statistics so poorly fabricated and sloppily assembled they are an insult to our intelligence.
As the weeks roll by, those lies and false reports will continue to become increasingly obvious to an increasing number of people, as will the intention behind them as the imposition of a police state makes itself more strongly felt.
This process is inevitable and will continue. As it continues so will the resistance grow.
The coup is the work of a handful of people and their collaborators. These are people who think that by virtue of some innate (hah!) superiority, they have a God-given right to lie to the People, wreck their lives and livelihoods and browbeat, propagandise or terrorise them into compliance in service of their own minority interests.
They are people who also think it is perfectly all right to hijack the constabulary or the army and turn honorable men and women into their bully boys, whom – they think – they can then use to bludgeon the citizenry into submission when it won’t obey.
The resistance has already sprung spontaneously into being and grown and expanded at a phenomenal rate. There is every sign that its growth is accelerating.
It will continue to accelerate as the initial shock wears off and people, hitherto unaccustomed to such things, face the reality that our country – and many other countries across the planet – have been the target of a coup.
But it is what it is. The reality is there for those willing to look and you will find that over time, more and more people will become willing to look and, in effect agree to disagree with has been attempted by a handful of self-appointed herdsmen who consider us cattle.
Look at how the ranks of those who have disagreed have swollen in just a few weeks! Look at how the few have become the many! As their numbers grow, so will others become emboldened to embrace their new ideas.
Soon we will wind up up with virtually every citizen capable of initiative and independent reason on one side of the fence and the handful of privileged front men and their sly puppet masters on the other.
It is even possible (but don’t hold your breath on this one just yet) that Parliament and the judiciary will wake up and side with The People.
The privileged few will find The People increasingly withdraw their cooperation. The withdrawal of cooperation by The People is the death knell of any government.
ANY government, to govern, requires cooperation and agreement from the governed – at the very least a dedicated hard core of support. No government can long sustain its authority by using force alone to achieve compliance.
Expect, then, that compliance/belief/cooperation to erode. As it does so, watch the handful of little Hitlers who have temporarily seized the helm (and just looking at the poor calibre of those people, my God we really must have been asleep!), to turn increasingly to the army and the police.
Governments turn to their soldiers to “enforce their edicts” upon an uncooperative people out of fear. It is all they have left when they no longer have the agreement and belief that guarantee compliance.
But there is no guarantee the soldiers and the police won’t side with The People. For they are The People too.
And how many of them have pledged dedicated allegiance to Boris Johnson as their glorious leader?
