Fact Checking in a nutshell . . .

A brief description of the "fact checking" propaganda wheeze

by Jon Davy

Newspapers are operations where journalists try to convince us of what is or isn’t true.

The newspaper industry have never been noted for their noble allegiance to the truth and have always been known as a source of “information” that cannot be trusted.

PolitiFact.com is a fact-checking project whereby journalists pronounce upon the truthfulness of others. It is owned and operated by the Poynter Institute.

The Poynter Institute for Media Studies is a journalism school and research organization located in St. Petersburg, Florida. It is described as a global leader in journalism and is a leader in the field of fact checking.

As a “global leader” in journalism it must then take much of the responsibility for the decline in real honest-to-goodness journalism and the degeneration of much of the newspaper industry into slanted propaganda mouthpieces with a loose, at best, allegiance to the truth.

The school is the owner of the Tampa Bay Times newspaper.

“Fact checking” is an operation where journalists try to convince us of what is or isn’t true.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
