The Green Party – the Lunatics Voted Into Running the Asylum

The Green Party – the lunatics voted into running the asylum.

The local elections are upon us and we are about to witness the insanity of giving people the vote. Nowhere is this more evident than the London Borough of Hackney. Two Tier Starmer might have to break from collecting rhyming puns on his name, as Free-gear Starmer (declaring more freebies than any other MP), or now Jew Harmer, and find it’s his time for Kier Karma.

Hackney borders Islington with its fabled left wing dinner parties where socialists waffle about equality and increased State intervention while insulated from the harsh realities of both, somehow unaware that they were in the crosshairs of Stalin’s purges of the 1930s. They’re donkeys voting for field chains.

It’s hard to understand who actually lives in Hackney these days. The eel and pie shops, pubs and churches have been replaced by mosques, curry houses and coffee shops competing with one another over the uniqueness of their grind. It’s where flower markets and ten-deep food stalls are grazed by media types in expensive glasses that outweigh their noses capability to support them, wearing Free Gaza badges and ubiquitous tote bags.

Perhaps realising taxes are not yet high enough to support illegal new arrivals and burgeoning immigrant families, these are the logical voters for a political party even more punishing of its national people than the so-called Labour Party. These are the blank faces seen in broken people , who believe their salvation is to be found in the bonkers minutes of left wing think tank meetings, while moving to whiter areas to mumble about the benefits of multiculturalism. Yes, there’s a new threat to national security, the economy and the definition of women in town. It’s the Green Party.

The Greens Party manifesto reads like a primary school brainstorm by middle class kids wearing protective helmets even when pushing bikes and using the Observer for papier-mâché balloons highlighting the evil of cars and campaigning for 55 mph speed limit of motorways conveniently forgetting the interminable car journeys soundtracked by ‘Are we there yet?’

The Green Party are proposing to give freshly arrived immigrants housing, benefits, healthcare and Playstations on landing, wilfully unaware there’s already an established queue in-waiting. When the rest of Europe is unilaterally closing their borders such incentives can only have one outcome.

This is to be paid for by a Wealth Tax, which at least has the honesty of declaring exactly what tax does; it strips us of wealth, by redistributing our hard-earned wage into the pockets of others, not to mention government projects like Art Council funding Brighton skip art, or ironically £3,299 beds for Border Force duty dogs; they’re so comfortable they can’t get up to do their job. Perhaps identifying as a dog on Dungeness beach will guarantee a Cheshire Ottoman kingsize to go with your free flat. Free comfy beds is a pretty succinct and effective policy to get voted in, until you see the small print *for dogs.

One of their bolder claims, and entirely un-costed is to create a society without hate. It’s unclear how much this might cost, but it might be a greater scam than the NHS for burning through money like Madonna at a botox party. Besides, why stop there? Why not eradicate other human aspects and emotions such as jealousy, or frustration or dislike, or loathing or disgust. Since when was it a political party’s duty to manage human emotion?

There’s a modern fascism around compulsory empathy; that one is obliged to welcome all refugees, even those vocally opposed to your own western values. It’s no longer enough to disapprove of genocide, you now have to find room on your sofa and switch channels to Al Jazeera. It might be Christian to offer a seat at the table, but it is wilful blindness to hand your enemy the key to the mansion.

Most alarming is how the Green Party plan to fund their epic increase in public expenditure when the Welfare state already costs £333billion and income tax brings in £331billion. Their answer is via MMT – modern money theory – which is so complicated that even AI struggles to explain in comprehensively. The Greens planning to run the country on its principles is proving those Shakespeare type-writing monkeys with an ironing board and expecting them build an effectively functioning shopping mall. In space. MMT dictates that governments spend by creating new money. It’s been trial tested by Venezuela and Zimbabwe so at least they’re not going in blind. That MMT also stands for magic money tree is poetic trolling.

The only poetic justice is that all those voting Green will pay the price. Their performative empathy might be more important than their own welfare and wealth, until they’re directly impacted by the consequence of their actions. Anyone with Refugees Welcome should be forced to house some themselves before imposing this financial obligation upon others who are already struggling with cost of living. When their wallets are commandeered entirely by the Green party so they can’t buy any more indoor plants they might then find buyers remorse. The recent Green MP Hannah Spencer needed tranquillisers to stop bleating vacuously about the importance of being ‘nice’ to everyone, yet is the Greens figurehead, which is like being led into battle by Pudsey. Being nice to everyone might work when everyone is rowing in the same direction, instead the Greens, along with Labour are wilfully or deliberately blind to the consequences of creating a country of parallel societies, The only inevitable cohesion will be a mutual involvement in civil war.
