Ben Habib, former Brexit Party MEP, Great British PAC Chairman and ex-Deputy Leader of Reform UK, has re-entered the political arena with the launch of a brand-new political party, Advance UK.
Promising to “save the country” from what he describes as a decline in national sovereignty, freedom of speech, and democratic integrity, Mr Habib has positioned the movement as a response to what he sees as an urgent national crisis.
In a candid video statement on the party’s new website, www.advanceuk.org.uk, Mr Habib introduced himself as the “leader-in-waiting” of the organisation, calling it a “new political force on the British political landscape”.
“The UK is in deep, deep trouble”
“The United Kingdom is in deep, deep trouble,” he declared. “We face multiple existential threats: constitutionally, culturally, economically. We are on the precipice, if not already over it.”
Advance UK, he explained, will stand on four core principles: national unity, freedom of speech, the restoration of democracy, and equality before the law.
Mr Habib argued that existing political parties have failed to address what he sees as Britain’s decline, and accused them of surrendering sovereignty to international bodies and quangos. “No country can succeed other than through democracy,” he said. “We used to be the mother of all democracies… we must be again.”
A Party Built on Democracy
According to its founder, Advance UK will be structured to mirror its democratic ideals. Membership is open to any British citizen who is on the electoral roll and not currently affiliated with another political party.
Party members will elect a representative “College,” a body charged with ensuring the leadership remains true to the party’s founding principles. A Board of Directors, mostly drawn from the College, will hold day-to-day oversight of the Executive, which includes the party leader, treasurer, and elected officials.
“This party will be democratic from top to bottom,” Mr Habib said. “Members will even have the right to remove board members with a simple majority vote.”
Free Speech at the Forefront
A key element of the party’s philosophy is an absolute commitment to free speech. Habib stressed that members will not be ‘policed’ for their views.
“We’re not going to be throwing our members under a bus just because they said something silly on Twitter a few years ago,” he said. “You’re free to express yourself, without fear or favour. It is our policies and our mission that you endorse when you join us, not a rigid ideological checklist.”
“There is no party like this”
Addressing concerns that Advance UK could split the so-called right-wing vote, Mr Habib rejected the label outright. “‘Right-wing’ is a lazy political term used to discredit those who believe in democracy, national unity and British values,” he argued.
He insisted that no existing party is standing for the basic principles Advance UK champions, namely, a fully independent UK, uncensored debate, national democracy, and the fair application of the law.
Targeting 30,000 Members Before Official Registration
Advance UK has not yet applied for registration with the Electoral Commission, but Mr Habib has made the criteria for that step clear: if 30,000 people sign up as members, the party will seek official recognition.
To that end, a discounted membership fee of £10 per year has been introduced. Should the party reach its target, Mr Habib has pledged to donate £100,000 of his own money to help fund its future operations.
“When we apply for registration, we’ll do so with the backing of the people and the funding we need to take action,” he said.
“We’re relying on the best of British”
In a rousing conclusion, Habib called on citizens from all walks of life to step forward, not only to become members, but also to help shape the party’s direction by standing for positions within the College or leadership team.
“If you care about democracy, free speech, equality before the law, and the future of this great country — we want you,” he said. “We’re relying on the best of British. We’re relying on you.”
Memberships are now open via www.advanceuk.org.uk, where supporters can find more details about the party’s structure, aims and how to get involved.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)

he mentions “equality before the law” so, does that mean he will take all uk councils to task for committing fraud with their court summons and liability orders; we should band together and take all councils to court under due process; something they conveniently ignore…
