The optics of Deportations
Musings

I must begin this article to note how darkly humorous it is for the people who routinely farm likes by quote-posting some Tory backbencher from 2014 about how he is personally responsible for Rotherham, on the grounds of not deporting every non-white person in Britain during the Cameron government, are now bedwetting over the entirely predictable conduct of an actually existing deportation operation.
J’accuse hates memes but this one is apt. What did you think mass deportations meant? Vibes? Essays? Deportation means the arrest of thousands of people, their detention by the state and the treatment of any resistance to this as criminal activity.
The first thing we can deduce is that the British Right will have much less appetite for mass deportations when they happen here then they let on. The moment a middle-aged Antifa lady is bopped over the head with a police truncheon, you can expect howling denunciation from the Right-Wing papers as well as the BBC and Guardian. Every aesthetic choice made by British Conservatism over the past 50 years inclines them to take a ‘principled stand’ against ‘tyranny’ while defending the hallucinated ‘middle ground’ of ‘restricting immigration.’ Farage and his cabinet will likely try to remain firm but they will be bombarded with ‘polls’ from Mr. Tryll and likely byelection defeats as Shire Tories let their snob gene kick in and opt for ‘decency.’ I am deeply pessimistic as to how well this persuasive offensive can be resisted by Nigel Farage who does not, in fact, use his personal X account and gets all his opinions from The Telegraph.
America is mainly a suburban society, BAP has perceptively written about how the American suburb is deliberately designed to neuter political activity by its, largely white, inhabitants. ICE can move with great effectiveness and libtards must similarly drive to random places to stage their protests. Britain, by contrast, is mainly an urban society and the suburbs in Britain are not like American suburbs. The people who will be rallied by multibillion pound NGOs to obstruct the deportation of rapists in a city like London or Manchester will live there, they will be able to summon every other libtard who lives there by public transport systems; the battlefield will be streets of terraced houses accessed by narrow roads. The police conducting the operation will in some cases be known to people in ‘the community.’
The campaign will have three stages. Explicit, Antifa activists will, as they are in the U.S, attempt to track and obstruct ongoing deportations in the most provocative way to try and produce an endless stream of upsetting images. Media coverage of these, inevitable, outrages will mobilise a softer, older, flabbier demographic to begin peaceful protests in London against the deportation operation itself (think StopBrexit crowd). This will be used to psychologically trick Reform MPs into thinking the policy is unpopular, with many Wonk Polls from the Rooted Sensibles being trooped out to buttress this notion. Finally, Reform MPs in marginal seats will be barraged with polls saying their older membership think things are getting a bit too leary and many civil servants will be telling Nigel that he can go back to being an Elton John impersonator if he just stopped this nonsense.
Furthermore, expect the British courts to basically collaborate with Antifa. Any protesters who are arrested lawfully will be pardoned or given ludicrously light sentences. It is crucial that Reform establish a precedent for controlling the judiciary before embarking on the deportations campaign. Ditto for the Left-wing NGO network. It is crucial, crucial, crucial that you crush the people who will be obstructing deportations before the campaign itself begins. The usual suspects are already identifiable: Stand Up To Racism, the Socialist Worker Newspaper and Refugees Welcome organise these protests but the more opaque funding network, operating from obscure outfits with comfy names, must be dismantled as well. Anyone working in policy should be devoting at least half their time to making sure Reform gets a list of ‘wokes to lock up’ for this eventuality or mass deportations simply will not work.
On this topic, many on X have predictably declared that the main problem will be ‘Islamist enclaves’ directly resisting police. Once again, it is worth remembering much of the British online right have a bizarrely inflated picture of Muslims. If such a thing did happen, with images of Muslim mobs fighting border force agents, it would be a huge optical victory and solidify public opinion behind deportations. While I’m sure videos vaguely like this will emerge it is important to understand urban Muslims will not be the main vanguard of anti-deportation campaign. For one, contra the Pete North impression that Muslims are some kind of hardened mafia, Muslims would decisively lose if they staged any real attempt at organised violence in areas they dominate. Secondly, the people being deported in any Farage-led government will be migrants let in due to lockdown. These are rootless, transient emigres and closed communities of Arabs and Pakistanis who already have British citizenship are not going to be housing them.
All of these points lead to the conclusion of this essay. An advantage Britain has, which America does not, is a large, radicalised white working class who passionately believe in remigration and would be prepared to defend it. When Keir announced his own mini-deportations in September 2024, there were reports of civilian volunteers spontaneously interrogating migrants on the trains. This has since burgeoned into the ‘auditor’ movement, which you can see left-wing outlets like NOVARA panicking about while the Online Right continues to do nothing. The auditor movement, in brief, is what the paedohunter movement was for illegal immigrants.
Any future government would, if it did minimal preparation, be able to mobilise a huge auxiliary force of volunteers to assist in a campaign of deportations. These volunteers would conduct irregular inspections but, more importantly, also be marshalled into pro-Border demonstrations against ANTIFA and chronicle ANTIFA activities through video content. Some discretion is obviously needed here. Applications should be easier than applying for a passport: you should prove you have no criminal record and that you are a British citizen and then immediately given an app to report illegals and those assisting them. This will filter out 90% of Tommeh Robinson types who would otherwise bring the movement into disrepute. The optics you want are vast crowds of women and teenagers, as in Ireland, shaming the geriatric forces of anti-Fascism.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
