Screaming Lord Robertson – Survivalist

The British Establishment: Our True Enemy in the Shadows of Manufactured Fear

TOM ARMSTRONG

Like most of you, I’ve watched with growing anger as our once-great nation is systematically undermined by the very elites who claim to protect it. The British establishment, that corrupt cabal of politicians, bureaucrats, media moguls, and globalist puppets are not content with bleeding us dry with endless taxes, regulations, and inflationary policies; they’re hell-bent on dragging us into a war with Russia or, at the very least, whipping up a frenzy of fear about one. Why? To justify further assaults on our hard-won freedoms and to pick our pockets clean under the guise of “national security.” It’s all part of “Project Fear 2.0,” an evolution of the Brexit-era scaremongering, now repurposed for geopolitical hysteria.

I recently read an article that reeked of establishment propaganda dressed up as concern, about Screaming Lord Robertson. Remember him? A useless Defence Secretary and NATO Secretary General, major contributor to the decline of our armed forces and best summed up by his idiotic quote that Scottish devolution would “kill nationalism stone dead”. Now he’s out spreading doom, telling us of his doomsday preparations. Yes, lads and lasses, this former NATO bigwig has turned survivalist and is hoarding food and flashlights because Russia might flip the switch and turn our lights off. In the MSM it’s a story about a “veteran politician” sounding the alarm on Russian “revanchism.” But I think it’s a calculated move in the establishment’s aim of stoking paranoia to control the masses, prepare the ground for economic chaos they themselves might engineer, and scapegoat Russia for the fallout. If folk don’t wake up soon, we’ll be marching to their drumbeat – straight into tyranny and ruin.

Robertson says he carries a torch in his pocket, has one in every room, keeps cash on hand, owns a battery radio, and stockpiles food and water. Why? Because he believes, or says he believes, that the West is “under attack” from Russia. With our “Critical National Infrastructure” teetering on a “knife edge” he warns of sabotage that could shut down essential services and urges the public to build “resilience” against a “significant attack on the homeland by Russia.” He disingenuously suggests that the Iberian Peninsula’s massive power outage earlier this year, the one that left millions in Spain and Portugal in the dark was not the “random power fluctuation” investigators reported but instead implies that it’s “not what everybody believes.” He contrasts the “cooperative” Putin he met in the early 2000s, who wanted Russia in NATO, with today’s “thin-skinned” aggressor who’s “at war with us” but makes no mention of what might have caused the change. The menopause?

Now maybe this just shows how spooked the “political class” is by Russia. But as one who’s seen through the lies of Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and now Ukraine, I smell a rat: it isn’t genuine fear, it’s manufactured hysteria with Robertson’s alleged survivalism part of Project Fear. The establishment has a long history of using fear to manipulate us. Remember the “45 minutes to doom” WMD nonsense that dragged us into Iraq? Or the post-9/11 surveillance state that eroded our privacy? Now, with the economy teetering, inflation rampant, energy bills skyrocketing, and debt piling up, they’re resurrecting the Cold War bogeyman to distract and dominate.

At the end of 2025 the UK economy is a mess. The establishment’s green energy fantasies have left us dependent on intermittent wind and solar. They’ve shut down reliable coal and nuclear plants. Gas prices are through the roof, thanks to the Globalists sanctions on Russia. Manufacturing is fleeing, small businesses are collapsing under regulatory burdens, and many are struggling to heat their homes. But instead of admitting their policies are to blame, the ‘elites’ point fingers at Putin. Robertson’s warnings about infrastructure fragility? That’s rich coming from a man who helped build the globalist architecture that’s made us so vulnerable. NATO’s expansion eastward, which he oversaw, poked the Russian bear repeatedly. Now, when the bear growls back, they cry foul and demand we prepare for blackout Britain.

I suspect the establishment either fears an economic collapse they’ve engineered through incompetence and ideology, or is deliberately preparing for one, and is setting the stage to blame Russia for it. Looking again at the Iberian outage that affected over 2.5 million across Spain and Portugal, caused by a “technical incident” at a French substation leading to a frequency drop and automatic shutdowns, Robertson hints at conspiracy, perhaps cyber sabotage, by Russia? Convenient, isn’t it? If our grid fails tomorrow, they’ll say, “We told you so!” and roll out emergency powers: rationing, digital IDs for “security,” higher taxes for “defence,” and maybe even conscription.

The establishment has been pushing for action against Russia since the West’s coup in Ukraine in 2014, and possibly before. Billions have been sent in ‘aid’ to corrupt Kiev, including weapons shipments. Ukrainian troops have been trained on British soil while our own military is underfunded and overstretched. Why? Because war is profitable for the arms industry and distracting for the public. But direct war is risky; better to create the spectre of it. Fear justifies everything: the Online Safety Bill curbing free speech, digital pound for tracking every transaction, and “net zero” policies that impoverish us while enriching cronies in green tech.

Robertson’s personal preparations are telling. Here’s a lord, a peer of the realm, allegedly stocking up like a doomsday prepper. If he’s so worried, why isn’t he using his influence to fix the vulnerabilities he helped create? During his NATO tenure, the alliance ballooned, incorporating former Soviet states and encircling Russia. He met Putin multiple times and recalled how Putin wanted Russia in NATO as an “equal partner.” What changed? Not Putin, but the West’s refusal to treat Russia as anything but a vassal. The establishment needed an enemy to justify NATO’s existence post-Cold War. After the “Global War on Terror” fizzled, Russia filled the void.

Now, with China rising and America retreating under isolationist pressures, the Globalist elites are desperate. A war with Russia, or the fear of one, might keep the transatlantic bond alive. It also funnels money to defence contractors and suppresses dissent at home. Dissenters like me are labelled “Putin apologists” or “useful idiots.” But I’m no fan of Putin; I’m a fan of Britain first. We don’t need entangling alliances that drag us into continental quagmires. Remember 1914? That web of treaties pulled us into the Great War, slaughtering a generation for nothing.

Then there’s the economics. The UK is on the brink. GDP growth is anaemic at best, public debt is 100% of GDP, and the Bank of England’s money-printing has devalued the pound. Energy independence? Laughable. We’re importing LNG at premium prices because we banned fracking and restricted North Sea oil. The establishment’s “Build Back Better” after COVID was code for more control: vaccine passports foreshadowing digital surveillance, lockdowns training us for compliance. Now, with recession looming, they need a scapegoat. Enter Russia: cyber-attacks, energy disruptions, even food shortages, all to be blamed those rotten Russians.

Robertson’s call for public “resilience” is code for “get used to austerity.” Stockpile food? Psychological warfare to scare us into accepting higher bills, reduced services, and eroded rights. Remember the COVID fear porn? Daily (falsified) death counts, preposterous models predicting apocalypse, all to justify lockdowns that wrecked the economy. Now it’s “Russia might turn off the lights.” Next, it’ll be mandatory “resilience training” apps tracking our preparations.

Could they be engineering the collapse? It’s not beyond them. False flags have history: Gulf of Tonkin, Operation Northwoods (thankfully aborted). In cyber realm, it’s easier to fabricate. A “Russian” hack on the grid could be staged or allowed to happen, justifying martial law-lite. Or perhaps it’s incompetence: our power infrastructure is indeed fragile, as Robertson says, but it is underinvestment, over-regulation, Ofwat, green zealotry and EU-mandated interconnectors that make us vulnerable to continental failures. The Iberian outage? It rippled from France, a reminder that globalism chains us to others’ mistakes.

I say enough. We must reject this fear. Demand energy independence: reopen coal, frack for gas, build nuclear. Exit NATO if it means endless proxy wars. Prioritise British interests over Ukrainian. The establishment fears us more than Russia. A united, awakened people could topple their house of cards.

In conclusion, the reports of Robertson’s survivalism are a window into Project Fear’s machinery. His words aren’t a warning; they’re a weapon. Whether pushing for war or pre-emptively blaming Russia for economic woes they have caused, the establishment is the real threat. So, hoard not just food, but knowledge and resolve. Our freedoms and wallets depend on seeing through the smoke.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
