Hallett Report refuses to question Britain’s damaging covid vaccine policy
NEVILLE HODGKINSON
AN AMAZING life-and-death struggle is under way in the world, in which almost all those with leadership roles in society are continuing to lose the confidence of ordinary people. The leaders, especially in politics, science, medicine and the mainstream media, are so steeped in self-righteousness as to make them blind to their mistakes.
The £200million Hallett Inquiry’s latest report grabbed headlines with its almost meaningless ‘too little, too late’ conclusion, and its claim that lockdown a week earlier could have saved 23,000 lives. But that claim is based on modelling, not hard evidence, from sources which have repeatedly been discredited.
Hallett makes a scapegoat of Boris Johnson, yet his instinct that the fearmongering was overblown was correct. He just lacked the wherewithal to override the combined weight of scientific, medical and intelligence agency input that was pressing in one direction: the rollout to billions of an experimental, gene-based vaccine. Alternative perspectives, such as that adopted by Sweden, were ridiculed. Sweden did not enforce lockdowns, school closures and mask mandates during the covid era, yet its excess death rate during 2020–2022 was the lowest of all European countries.
More than 20 per cent of working-age people in the UK are now out of work and not looking for work, a lot higher than in comparable countries, including Sweden. Of those, about 2.8million are suffering from long-term sickness – up by an astonishing 40 per cent, totalling 800,000 people – since 2019. This is a disaster economically, as well as for the individuals and families involved.
To what extent is the covid jab – now the subject of countless studies demonstrating actual or potential harm (see this for example) – to blame? No one in authority in the UK has yet dared face up to this urgent question. Evidence linking the jab to excess deaths, as well as chronic ill health, is being kept under wraps supposedly out of consideration for the feelings of the bereaved. The Oxford-based Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine has found following the AstraZeneca jab evidence of harms that far exceeding those publicly acknowledged.
A big part of the problem is that in our largely secular society vaccines have taken on a religious status as icons of scientific genius and human caring. Most of us are familiar with everyday acts of apparent compassion that are tainted with a self-serving, do-gooding spirit. But the hundreds of billions the multiple jabs earn for Big Pharma, and their related professional and charitable bodies, have created an endemic, society-wide illusion.
Take the response to current efforts by Robert Kennedy Jr, the US Health Secretary, to check on behalf of the American people whether their children really do need the 72 or so vaccine shots they have to receive by the age of 18 if they are to stay at school, and whether there could be any harms associated with this.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a federal agency for which he is ultimately responsible, has just put out a press release demonstrating that the claim ‘vaccines do not cause autism’ is not evidence-based. No studies have been performed that rule out the possibility of a link, it says, and studies supporting a link have been ignored by health authorities. Kennedy has instituted a comprehensive inquiry into the causes of autism, for which diagnoses have rocketed during the period in which the shots schedule has ballooned.
The press release adds that half of surveyed parents of autistic children believe vaccines played a role in their child’s autism, often pointing to the many jabs now given to children in their first six months of life, and one – the measles, mumps and rubella jab (MMR) – given at or after aged one. It says this connection has not been properly studied by the scientific community.
The response to this press release from the medical and scientific establishment and its friends in the media almost proves Kennedy’s point, that the concerns of parents are not being addressed. It contradicts the scientific consensus, they say. It is a bizarre distortion of science. It revives a debunked link. Multiple studies have shown the jabs to be safe. Even giving credence to questions about their safety will encourage vaccine hesitancy and ‘cost lives’. A statement signed by nearly 50 medical and public health organisations expressed alarm that the CDC is ‘is promoting the outdated, disproven idea that vaccines cause autism’.
Apart from the fact that the CDC is investigating rather than promoting the idea, this chorus of complaints takes no account of recently published work supportive of a link.
See for example this recent report from the McCullough Foundation, concluding that combination jabs given early in childhood constitute the most significant modifiable risk for autism, along with other factors.
Or this summary of a major study, spanning several continents, from Italy’s National Research Council, identifying a strong association between early-life vaccine intensity and autism prevalence. Countries such as the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea and Singapore give around 15 vaccine types and 20 doses before age one – and have the highest autism prevalence, at about 1,273 per 100,000 children. Countries including the UK, Norway, Finland, Denmark, give around eight vaccines in nine doses – and have significantly lower autism rates, at 834 per 100,000. The study also found that a 1 per cent increase invaccine types before age one corresponded to a 0.47 per cent increase in autism prevalence.
Or this newly published report by Dr Peter Gøtzsche, co-founder of the Cochrane Collaboration, once considered the world’s pre-eminent independent medical research organisation, in which he explains how America’s regulators ‘defrauded the American public about serious vaccine harms’. We know very little about these harms, he writes, ‘because most of the data come from substandard and flawed trials performed by drug companies, which leave out important adverse events from their publications and avoid, with virtually no exceptions, to compare their vaccines with a placebo.’
Here in the UK we have not gone quite as far as America in risking children’s health with the insanely burgeoning 72-shot vaccine schedule, but nor have we anything like the scientific challenge now being spearheaded at the highest level by Kennedy.
Along with an ideological need to believe in ‘the science’ as defined by those in authority, one of the difficulties is that medical and science journalists generally want to stay friends with their powerful establishment contacts as they rely on them for stories. Even if they have private doubts, they may also lack the time to investigate. Editors should rely less on specialists who are beholden to their contacts. Perhaps it is not so surprising that with few exceptions – notably including the Telegraph newspapers – the mainstream media and especially the BBC have failed us so badly on the issue of vaccine safety and effectiveness

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
