It is an oddity that the issue of mask wearing has come to the fore at the very time that fatalities (even the alleged fatalities of the government’s inflated stats) from the virus are plummeting and testing is showing that the percentage of people who get very ill from it is very small. And the more testing is done, the smaller the percentages seem to get.
In other words, the kerfuffle and argument about masks has been blown up as an issue at the very time that it is becoming obvious that the virus as a weapon of economic destruction or psychological mind games is on its way out, it having become obvious that it never was as deadly or infectious as we were led to believe.
Like similar viruses such as flu, it is serious enough if you happen to be very old, very ill or have a weak immune system but the level of seriousness has not justified the level of hysteria inherent in the government’s response to it. Nor,certainly the level of economic and social damage that response has wrought.
My own view is that the issue of masks is not cut and dried, black or white (ie., masks =evil, with any form of advocacy the work of Satan, versus masks=good with any contrary opinion the work of Satan) with no shades in between the two extremes.
Their relative value depends upon many variable factors (such as type of mask, whether correctly fitted and worn, circumstances in which worn, etc) primary amongst which is the true nature, deadliness and seriousness of the virus against which the masks are supposed to be a defence.
From a propaganda perspective . . .
The face mask issue has arisen at the very time when public fear of COVID19 was on the wane and the hysteria of the response of governments to the hyped threat was being questioned by growing numbers of citizens, expert and layman alike.
A debate about the merits or otherwise of wearing a surgical face mask to protect one against the pervasive threat of COVID19, neatly deflects attention from the core issue and reinforces the concept that a mass killer is still lurking out there somewhere, like a sort of invisible terrorist.
Indeed the COVID 19 pandemic threat has similarities to terrorism:
- it is everywhere
- you can’t tell where or when it is going to strike next and could easily kill you or someone you love
- everyone is its potential victim
- it never quite goes away and never quite resolves, is always a mystery that defies complete understanding. It is always out there somewhere lurking like a lethal question mark and a new incident will remind you to continue being afraid
- “dealing with the threat” involves strengthening the power of the state and reducing to one degree or another “for their own good” the rights and liberties of the citizen.
- the citizenry will not give up their rights easily unless terrified of something they consider more immediately dangerous to their survival so the power of the media and political spin is used to make sure the threat is amplified to the right level of perceived magnitude and immediacy.
Wearing a mask, seeing others wearing masks, seeing images of people wearing masks reinforces the sense of threat or fear concerning COVID-19.
In addition the issue has proven a handy divide-and-rule caper that has provided yet another stimulus to have us all arguing futilely among ourselves and thus too preoccupied to notice that the Big Bucks Aristocracy is sending our world to hell in a biscuit barrel.
Fear, worry and anxiety are themselves powerful immune-suppressing emotions. Couple this with the health-suppressing effects of mask wearing covered in the video and article here, along with many other strangely inept official “handlings” (the persistent shortage of PPE, the catastrophic failure to protect nursing homes, encouraging people to stay cooped up together indoors, the almost total lack of education on how to boost your immune system etc etc) of the “epidemic”, which appear to be geared to make people as susceptible as possible and one has to question whether a cowed and sickly populace is the desired result.
The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
